Community Guidelines
The comments are here for arguing about trades, defending your sleeper picks and telling us when we got it wrong. These guidelines keep that conversation worth reading.
Who can comment
You need an account with a verified email address to post a comment. Comments appear under the name on your account, so choose one you are happy to see in public.
What we ask of you
- Argue with the point, not the person. Disagree as hard as you like with a take, an author or another reader's lineup, but leave personal attacks out of it.
- Stay on topic. Keep comments related to the article they sit under.
- Be straight about what you know. If an injury update or a trade rumour comes from a source, say so. Do not present a guess as fact.
- Credit other people's work. Quote briefly and say where it came from, rather than pasting whole articles.
What is not allowed
- Harassment, threats, or abuse aimed at anyone, including players, officials and their families.
- Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- Sharing someone's private information, such as an address, phone number or anything about their family.
- Spam, advertising, referral links and repeated posts.
- Selling or promoting betting picks, tipping services or paid groups.
- Sexually explicit material, or content that breaks the law.
- Pretending to be another person, including a player, a journalist or a member of our staff.
How moderation works
Our moderators may hold a comment for review before it appears, and may hide or delete any comment that breaks these guidelines. Repeated or serious breaches can lead to an account being banned, which ends its ability to sign in. Moderators use their judgement, and we do not promise to explain every decision.
Your own comments
You can delete your own comments at any time. If you delete your account, comments you left behind stay on the site, credited to "Former member".
Reporting a problem
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, send us a message with a link to the article and the name on the comment, and a moderator will take a look.
These guidelines sit alongside our terms of use, which apply to everything you post.
