With Igor Shesterkin on injured reserve, how should managers react?
A starting goalie on the injury report changes more than one roster spot. A calm approach to what comes next.

Igor Shesterkin is listed on injured reserve, and managers who drafted him early are feeling it. The first rule is the easiest to forget: do not make a bad trade just because you are worried. His long-term value has not gone anywhere.
Use your injured reserve slot first, then look for a short-term starter. You do not need to replace him like for like, and you will rarely find a goalie who can. Look for one with a steady workload and a decent schedule over the next two weeks.
If another manager is trying to sell you a replacement at a premium, walk away. Waiting until the picture is clearer usually costs less than reacting today.
