Ashton Jeanty and the value of a young workhorse
Young running backs with big roles are the most sought-after assets in dynasty. How much should you pay for one?
By Marcus Bell · · 1 min read
Running backs have short careers, which makes dynasty managers nervous about paying up for them. Yet a young back with a real workload offers something that is hard to replace: several seasons of high-volume scoring, starting now.
Ashton Jeanty fits that description in Las Vegas. His role gives him the touches that matter, and his value should hold up even while the team around him is still taking shape.
Our rule of thumb is to buy young running backs early and sell them a year sooner than feels comfortable. It feels strange in the moment, but it has rarely been the wrong approach.

I would add that the price in my league is way higher than you suggest.
